Wills

Put Your Wishes in Writing. Give Your Family Clear Direction.

A Last Will and Testament is one of the most familiar estate planning documents—but understanding what a will does and doesn't do is important.

A will provides instructions

A properly prepared will can provide instructions for your estate and identify the people you trust to carry them out.

What Can a Will Do?

A will can allow you to:

  • Identify beneficiaries
  • Name an executor
  • Nominate guardians for minor children
  • Provide instructions for distributing property
  • Create certain trusts after death
  • Express important estate planning decisions in writing

A will isn't always a complete plan

But having a will doesn't necessarily mean you have a complete estate plan. The Anchor Law helps you understand how a will fits into your larger plan and whether additional planning strategies may be appropriate.
